2012 MISSION TRIP APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE!

June 29th - July 10, 2012

MISSION TRIP TO UGANDA (THE PEARL OF AFRICA)

An invitation to share one’s calling, gifts and talents.

A fun and enriching missionary journey.

On June 29th, 2012, a group of men and women from different denominations will travel to Uganda to serve alongside Christian-Cultural Awareness and Assistance League and develop a deeper understanding of Christianity in the context of a particular culture.

C-CAAL works towards helping people understand how culture affects deeply our view of the world. To this end, the team will work with C-CAAL partners, Julius & Harriet Ananura of Reach the Un-Reached Ministry in Kampala, Uganda.

The mission will include visits to hospitals and ministering to patients, visiting prisoners and ministering to them, visiting an orphanage, door to door evangelism, food distribution, attending a service in a local church, teaching a workshop and visiting and ministering with the people of Karamoja in Northern Uganda.

The traveling team will also have many opportunities to visit amazing tourist sites such as the Bujagari Falls, the source of the Nile, the Agaba beach, as well as attending a cultural show, visit an African village, the Uganda Museum and the city of Kampala with opportunities to shop for African art.

The cost of this trip (10days) will be approximately 2,900 dollars (this includes a return airfare ticket, accommodations and meals, local transportation, tourist sites and entry visa fees). Each traveler is responsible for raising this money, however, the team will work together to come up with fundraising ideas.

If you feel like serving the poor in Africa is part of what it means to follow Jesus Christ then I challenge you to join us. This is only a short-term trip but it has the possibility of impacting you for a lifetime. My hope is that we will learn about God’s story of redemption through the lives of those we visit.

To join the traveling mission group, please complete the enclosed application and mail it to C-CAAL, PO Box 741661, Houston, TX 77274 by January 31, 2012.  A $110 deposit made to C-CAAL is required and is non-refundable.
